So this is the UI that I fully tested out for the first time today.  About the only carry over is the bartender setup and other basic and/or required mods.

So obviously a bit much with the combat text, during combat recount gets hidden and omen pops up.
I fiddled with Parrot for awhile, and while trying to get it to clean up and still give me the info I wanted...I broke it.  Not sure how.   But I managed.  Oh well.

Cera - you can play with your omen settings so it's much less obtrusive than that parchment style.

As for the scrolling combat text - try MSBT, most of the big UIs out there use it.  I've never had a problem with it and it's easy to configure.
Beats so big I'm steppin' on leprechauns.

I haven't spent a much time at all looking at what omen can do.  Just when to show/hide it and changed the bar look a little - but I can't seem to recall anything that looked like it changed the default layout look...  I'll have to look again.

And MSBT looks exactly like Parrot...if I continue to have problems I'll certainly try it.  I've spent the vast majority of the setup time getting Parrot to do what I want it to.  The only two things I need to do now is clean up a little clutter and get profiles to work right (it really only seems to work under "default" which leads to problems for me switching characters and even situations.  Data I want displayed is different in raid than solo...).  I spent even more time working on it this morning prior to your post.  So I'm a little hesitant to abandon my efforts at this point.  Thanks for the suggestion, and I'll store it for an "I can't take this anymore moment".

(As a last small note, for what I wanted, which is almost more look than function but with a couple of needed things...Xperl seems to be better for me than Pitbull, so while frustration made me make that switch, I think it was the right move.)

Yogg-Saron: Can you, like, buff yourself to do double damage, or have twice as much health or something?
Kologarn: I AM VERY LARGE

i dont like using a ton of addons, just a big mess, so my favorite motto comes into play when i chose addons, when in doubt; keep it simple stupid. (i tried pitbull and xperl i hated them both). i dont see how you guys play with all the clutter on your screen i like the big open 24 inch monitor to show the game not the addons.
almost in action minus quarts

People should really turn off damage meters during a fight or get rid of them.  You can have recount closed during a fight and pop it up afterwards if you wanna see how you did.  I think it might distract some people too much.

I think it should be a rule to have them closed.  ;D Mine are up, but I'd have no issue closing them, it's not like I watch them during fights. Besides, we get parses every single raid thanks to Jayde's dedication.

Don't play coy Rng. You are in a bottomfeeder and topfeeder channel. Bottom is tarts supposed "elite" pug channel, filled with completely idiots mostly. I've never heard of "topfeeders". Spill the beans!
