Epic baseball night sir! I went ballistic in gchat when the Orioles walked off. I called tart a noob and told him never to talk about baseball again. The backstory on that is he said the Sox were going to beat the Yankees in the playoffs.

As far as the Braves go, at least I didn't have to watch them for another week waiting for them to lose in the playoffs.

2006 Cardinals backed their way into the playoffs with an 83-78 record. If they didn't make the playoffs, you would say the exact same thing about them. Yet they barely made it, and suddenly got hot and won the World Series. They played as badly as the Red Sox, had a worse record against an extremely crappy division, yet they didn't get embarrassed in the playoffs.

Momentum is a tricky thing. IF the Red Sox had made the playoffs, I still stand by my statement that they would've beaten the Yanks in Game 6/7.
