[MISSION STATEMENT]
Goal: Achieve and maintain a top 250 in the US rank.
How we intend to achieve this goal:
A. Limited raiding time which allows players to enjoy both the game and their outside life.
B. Focus on very quick boss kills and achievement accomplishments. Given the limited raiding time this will require very high personal skill from our players, and a very high level of efficiency during all aspects of our raids.
C. Maintain a friendly guild and raiding environment as well as a good rapport with the rest of the server.
[GUILD STRUCTURE & RESPONSIBILITIES]
1. GM / Raid Leader (1)
- Responsibilities - General guild maintenance and arbitration. Handles raids, directs council on what needs to be done to keep the raids successful, such as new policies, required gear/consumables, recruitment needs, etc.
2. Council (4)
- Responsibilities - Handles day-to-day operations, polices the class leaders, does class leader work that doesn't get done.
- Gaining a Council Position - Voted in by the raiders and casuals for a 4 month term, terms are staggered such that 2 council members will be up for election every 2 months (think US Senate seats), must meet the requirements of a "raider" to be nominated.
3. Class Leaders (9)
- Responsibilities - Responsible for everything in their class, invites, kicks, improving players, making sure those players are prepared.
- Gaining a Class Leader Position - Voted in by the raiders and casuals of a particular class for a 4 month term, must meet the requirements of a "raider" to be nominated.
4. Raider (~35)
- Responsibilities - Players who should be able to perform well skill-wise, attitude-wise, and with a reasonable level of gear within a raid of our current level. All raiders must maintain the required standards for all raids, and must maintain 67+% attendance as displayed by the rolling 30-day attendance found on the
www.worldofvoracity.com/eqdkp page.
- Gaining a Raider Position - A player must prove their worth by going through initiation and being promoted to the Raider rank. A player who is of the Casual rank may also attain Raider rank simply by regaining their acceptable attendance.
5. Casuals (Reasonably unlimited)
- Responsibilities - Same responsibilities as the raider rank, except Casuals must only maintain a 20+% attendance as displayed by the rolling 30-day attendance found on the
www.worldofvoracity.com/eqdkp page. In the case that a player takes an extended absense which they notify the guild of using the absense forums, they must maintain a 20+% rolling 60-day attendance.
- Gaining a Casual Position - A player gains the Casual rank by having already attained the Raider rank and then dropping their attendance below the 67% mark which is required to hold a Raider position.
6. Initiate (Reasonably small)
- Responsibilities - Initiates must prove to the guild that they are able to raid effectively with the guild. As such they are held to all standards of the Raider rank. During this 2-4 week period they will be evaluated by their class leader, the raid leader, as well as the other officers. Initiates may only be promoted directly to the Raider rank having successfully completed their initiation period, the socialite rank if they meet some criteria for that, otherwise they are removed from the guild by the end of the initiation period.
- Gaining an Initiate Position - A player must fill out an application form at
http://www.worldofvoracity.com/smf/index.php/page,2.html The application will be reviewed by the guild with the ginvite decision coming down to the class leader and/or council.
7. Social (Unlimited)
- Responsibilities - Enhance the social aspect of the guild. As such they should not interfere with the ability of the guild to be cohesive, distract the guild during raids, annoy guild members, etc. Ie. don't piss people off.
- Gaining a Socialite Position - Alts, real life friends, family members, other close acquantences of guild members. Failing to meet the attendance requirements of the casual rank is also a valid way to gain the socialite rank. Players who give a notice to one of the officers that they will no longer be raiding will be demoted to this rank.
- Socialites are not allowed to maintain a DKP pool. Anyone who gains this rank and has DKP will have their DKP removed.
[Voting Procedure and Schedule]
- Near the beginning of the month, nominations will open for 4-7 days.
- Any raider may nominate any other raider for a council position.
- A person who is nominated may decline the nomination if for whatever reason they would not like to serve a term on the council.
- All players who were nominated will be put into a poll on the forums which will run for 4-7 days.
- All raiders and casuals may vote once for the player they would like to see on the council.
- At the end of the voting period the top 2 nominees will be promoted to the council rank.
Class leader elections are identical with the exception that only raiders within a given class may nominate players to be class leaders.

- "Previous Tier Boss" - All previous bosses.
- Current tier bosses are worth 4 DKP.

- Bosses of a previous tier have their DKP value divided by 2.
- First time kills are worth 3 times their normal value, second time kills are worth 2 times their normal value.
- 3 "Learning" DKP is awarded per hour on new content.
- Bidding is done privately.
- The lowest a player can bid or pay for an item is 10 DKP.
- Players of the casual rank may bid a maximum of 75 DKP.
- The highest bidder wins the item and pays the price of the second highest bidder (if there is no second bidder, the price is 10).
- Ties are resolved by giving the item to the player with more total DKP.
- If a tie still results the winner is determined by /rand 100's until the tie is broken.
Further Clarifications...
- For purposes of the following section, off-specs and non-raiding gear is considered under "non-raider" usage.
- Select items (namely materials/consumables obtained outside raid zones), which have been donated by guild members, can be purchased by guild members for 1/2 the listed price on
www.wowhead.com for that item.
- BoP patterns will be distributed via free roll, with preference given to players who have the required skill to learn it on the spot.
- BoE patterns which allow for the creation of BoE items will be distributed via free roll to anyone able to learn the pattern on the spot.
- BoE patterns which allow for the creation of BoP items will be distributed to players who can make use of the items, preference given to players who can make use in a raid environment.
- BoE patterns which are not needed will be banked. Any raider may pull a pattern they need out of the bank. Non-raiders may buy a pattern if we have an excess (2+) for 1/2 of the listed wowhead price.
- Abyss Crystals will be given to raiders for use in enchanting best-in-slot items.
- Mounts - Will be free-roll by any raider level player who has the required mount skill to use it.
- Looting in rare cases such as legendaries may be subject to Raid Leader/Master Looter/Officer discussion and approval.
[GENERAL RAID PROCEDURE]
1. All Raiders, and Initiates are expected to be online at 5PM Server Time. Anyone unable to make the raid is expected to post in the absence forum.
2. Players are expected to be online, un-grouped, and flagged down at 5PM Server Time. They're expected to be at the instance fully prepared by 5:15 to deal with "summonable" items, organization of buffs, etc.
3. Raid composition is at the discretion of the raid leader, as such, invites will be chosen from the available players online during the half hour prior to the first pull. Raiders, Officers, and Initiates will be given priority for invites over Casuals, however raid composition will be maintained by the raid leader.
4. Raid first pull should be at roughly 5:30PM.
5. If for whatever reason the raid cannot be filled or required class balance cannot be fulfilled the raid will be canceled and/or rescheduled as quickly as possible to a max of 30 minutes after "first pull" time.
[WAITLIST PROCEDURE]
- A message will usually be posted in the GMOTD regarding how to join the waitlist, however if there isn't one feel free to ask who is in charge of it. It will typically be of the form: "/w Jayde wl add"
- Anyone who would normally be able to get into a raid is able to sit on the waitlist, meaning, players the Raid Leader would normally send an invite to under normal circumstances. However if you have a schedule conflict, computer problem, or some other issue that prevents you from raiding you are not allowed to join the waitlist.
- Any player on the waitlist gains attendance and DKP as though they were in the raid.
- A player may play on an alt, or not be logged in at all. However, we need to be able to reach a waitlisted player so they need to either be on vent or give us some means of notifying them (if the alt is unguilded, or you're using some alternate form of communication...vent, etc. you MUST let the person in charge of the waitlist know).
- A player on the waitlist may do anything in-game with 2 exceptions. They may not participate in other instances or arenas. A player may be willing to ditch their party/arena team to join the raid, however, the guild as a whole does not want to prmote this sort of uncaring behaviour.
